RYHILL Hammers' star Gareth Williamson capped off a successful tour to Australia with BARLA Great Britain U18s with a try in their 62-8 victory over Lower Mountains.
Williamson missed out in BARLA’s opening 32-10 defeat to Penrith Panthers but played in the final two matches of the three-game tour, which saw BARLA grab comfortable victories.

The youngster played from the start in the 40-16 win against Henry Lawson, Cambridge Park, and went one better in crossing the whitewash in the 62-8 win against Lower Mountains, which wrapped up the successful tour for both the players and the BARLA squad.

Williamson bagged the final try of the first half, which saw BARLA lead 24-4, before upping the tempo and controlling the second half to bag a convincing win.

The Ryhill man will now return to England and will be hoping to continue his fine form for the Hammers when they start their new CMS Yorkshire League Division 2 campaign on Saturday, September 6.
