CROW'S Nest, South Kirkby Social and South Elmsall United Services progressed to the Carlsberg/Tetley KO Trophy semi-finals after victories at South Kirkby.
There was a six-wicket win for Crow’s Nest over neighbours Upton Wrangbrook.
An unbeaten 85 from Wayne Carr underpinned the Wrangbrook knock of 135-4, Adrian Mears (12) and Carl Haywood (11no) also reaching double figures. Dale Hawksworth (1-8), W
ayne West (1-14), Ray Pallett (1-15) and Paul Gillatt (1-16) took the wickets.
Nest had an opening stand of 107 by Hawksworth (48) and Gary Brown (54), with Chris Nock (19) and Lee Perry (13) taking over to guide them to 136-4 in the 17th over,
Dane Stringfellow (1-4), Lee Baines (1-13) and Carl Haywood (1-14) bowled well.
South Kirkby Social beat rivals Allstar Sports by 20 runs.
Richard Hames (73no) and Steve Lambert (63) figured in a stand of 115 for the second wicket as Social posted 165-4.
Pick of the Stars bowlers were Paul Walker (1-3), Scott Dunn (1-14) and Darren Ashby (1-23).
While Darren Tucker (27) and Jon Hood (28) put on 57 for Allstar’s first wicket, Danny Blacker (30), Blaine Key (21) and Darren Ashby (15no), also helped to narrow the gap, but they closed on 145-5. Richard Harris took 1-15, while Martin Helliwell (1-17) and Steve Lambert (1-22) were also on the money.
There was a 25-run success for United Services over Tykes.
Services reached 140-7, thanks to James MacFarlane (35), Dave Hill (23), Gary Marley (26) and Allan Howcroft (15no). Peter Phillips took 1-8 and Joe Gaskill bagged 1-16.
After losing an early wicket, Tykes recovered through Graham Till (13), Gavin Stevens (28), Nicky Craggs (17), Mick Quinn (15) and Peter Phillips (11no), but they managed just 115-6 in reply. Gary Marley claimed 1-3, Nigel Smith 1-10, Allan Howcroft 1-15 and Glen Marley 1-16.
