FRICKLEY Colliery travel to Wickersley Old Village in the Yorkshire Council Championship quarter-finals on Sunday after finishing in second spot in Division 1 of the Pontefract League.
The hosts are top of the South Yorkshire section table, and it will be the first time since 1976 that Colliery has taken part in the competition, which sees the top two of the Pontefract League, Central Yorkshire League, South Yorkshire League and East Yorkshire League go head-to-head.

They were beaten by Hanging Heaton in the semi-finals at South Elmsall on that occasion, and two members of the Frickley squad, Barry Wathey and Paul Kirkham, are still playing, the former being in the 1st XI while the latter captains the second string.

The match starts at 12.30pm at the Rotherham club.
