LISA and Gemma are about to take on their biggest challenge yet – to raise money for the Prince of Wales Hospice.
They will be taking part in a bungee jump at the Kings Croft Hotel in Pontefract on Bank Holiday Monday, August 25.

The Prince of Wales Hospice provides specialist palliative care for people with terminal or life-limiting illnesses in and around
the five towns of Pontefract, Castleford, Featherstone, Knottingley and Normanton.

Lisa and Gemma, who have never bungee jumped before, are a bit nervous about the event.

Gemma, 25, said: “I am absolutely terrified about this challenge and every time I think about it I get a bit shaky. I’m worried that once I get up there I won’t be able to do it. But it is for such a good, local cause that I’m sure I will manage it in the end. I might need a bit of a push, though.”

Lisa, 23, said: “I’m excited but it makes me really nervous just thinking about falling from that height. I can imagine I’ll be screaming on the way down.

“I’ve never done a bungee jump before but I’m happy that we will be doing it to support a local cause. I hope people will help support us by donating whatever they can.”

Gemma and Lisa need to raise £200 between them to take on the challenge and are appealing for help. To sponsor them, visit www.justgiving.co.uk/lisaandgemmasbungeechallenge or call 01977 642214.
