Hemsworth club-goer Ian Tordoff was in touch regarding the progress of local act 2Wyns, who have been mentioned right here in the Express on a number of occasions recently as an up-and-coming all-round entertainment act.

Ian tells me that 2Wyns, who comprise musicians Graham Flavell and Bobby Penman, are busy developing their act and also appearing in a variety of charity events up and down the area.
One such event was organised by the RAOB on behalf of the Yorkshire Air Ambulance Fund over in Featherstone last week.
Apparently Graham and Bobby enjoyed a fantastic night in which more than £2,000 was raised for the fund.
I shall certainly be making every effort to go along and catch this emerging act at my earliest opportunity.
It's double bill time on Sunday at Hemsworth Miners Social Club in Fitzwilliam when comedian Mike Kelly will no doubt be performing his old trick of drinking everyone's beer in between reducing the room to hysterics with his hilariously dry humour.
Rock singer Anita Madigan will complete what promises to be a great Sunday night out in 'Fitzy'. I may even pop in myself as Mike is one of my all-time favourite comedians.
Clubland act Spirit and Destiny are well known to many club people in this neck of the woods. The couple, who shot to fame after their abject failure to impress Simon Cowell on The X Factor and were famously thrown off the set by a burly bouncer, are set to take part in a tour of UK holiday centres in The X-Factor tour.
This most peculiar of television appearances have spawned a catchphrase 'Sing 'em a song Della' and landed Michael and Della, who make up the act, lots of further television appearances. Who knows, perhaps in the strange world of 21st century light entertainment, failure is the new success! It's all beyond my comprehension I'm afraid!
Clubland star JD Adams is working in summer season at Leisure World in Bridlington this week and I'm sure I'll be able to include a report on JD in this column to let all her clubland pals know what she is up to.
That lovely South Elmsall lass Jo Speight tells me that she is thinking of returning to the stage in clubland, after quite an absence. Jo was last seen in our clubs in a duo called The Soulmates and I for one would love to see her back on stage again. Hopefully it won't be too long!
